USSSA World Series
USSSA National and Regional tournaments are called World Series. In 2012 there will be more than 40 World Series events across the country in every division of fastpitch softball including the top USSSA National event at Disney's ESPN Wide World of Sports. Not all the dates set for all the World Series Events have been set yet. But the Disney events have already been set. Click Here for details, "Road to Orlando."
National Events
- The USSSA National World Series event is called the "Road to Orlando." at ESPN Wide World of Sports in Disney World.
- This premier one-week event is played on the in best fields in the county in the number one tourist destination in America! There is no better place for your Nationals' experience.
East Regional World Series
- USSSA has World Series events in each region for teams that want a national experience but stay within driving distance.
- Teams in the Northeast usually attend the World Series at ESPN Wide World of Sports in Disney World or the East Region Event in Ocen City Maryland. However, teams can attend any event in any region. Some levels are only offered at Disney.
How to register for a World Series Event?
- World Series tournaments are int he tournament lists where you regiuster for regualr USSSA tournaments. Just choose the loacation and and "World Series" and then start the registration process.
How to qualify for a USSSA World Series event? You can earn berths in several ways.
- Most tournaments have at least 2 berths for the 1st and 2nd place winners. However, the more teams that participate the more berths that are available. To see the berth procedures, Click Here.
- Teams that host or co-host tournaments earn a berth.
- In 2012 teams that play in at least 3 USSSA events in CT earn an at-large berth.
Hotel Accommodations for a World Series Event?
- USSSA does not mandate your hotel travel for World Series events. It also does it charge you a penalty for not using a mandated hotel agency.
