A, B or C. What is my Team?
The main objective for team classification is allowing teams to play within their skill level and bring parity to the USSSA program. This allows USSSA to develop tournaments or divisions within a tournament for different classes. It also allows teams to play in the correct bracket at any USSSA World Series event. Briefly A is for the top teams that consistently challenge to win most tournaments they enter. B is for the majority of teams who are a solid and competitive travel team or the first year of an age bracket (ie: 13s in 14U). C is for new teams, weaker travel teams or town based teams that do not compete regularly on the primary travel team circuit. Read more for details about classifying your team.
2013 USSSA World Series Dates Scheduled
No organization runs a "National" like USSSA. The dates and locations of the USSSA World Series have been announced. In 2013 there will be more than 50 World Series events across the country in every division of fastpitch softball including the top USSSA National event at Disney's ESPN Wide World of Sports. The USSSA National World Series event is called the "Road to Orlando" at ESPN Wide World of Sports in Disney World. At Disney there are events for A and B teams 8U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U and 18U. USSSA has World Series events in each region for teams that want a national experience but want to stay within driving distance of home. The East World Series for A, B and C teams for 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U is held in Salisbury and Ocean City Maryland. New for 2013 are 11U, 13U and 15U East World Series in Quakertown, PA. - Berths are awarded to teams based on their order of finish in a tournament and based on the number of teams that were in your division. The more teams, the more berths.
- Berths are awarded to teams that co-host or host a USSSA tournament.
